begin your journey
Between intensives you'll continue practicing, integrating, studying, and living the work within your daily life.
Prerequisites
This training is physically and mentally demanding. To prepare your body, mind, and nervous system, applicants are asked to attend 2–4 Zion Power Yoga classes each week for a minimum of one month before the training begins.
This is not intended to exclude anyone.
Rather, it is our commitment to setting every student up for success, ensuring you arrive prepared for the depth, pace, and physical demands of two five-day immersive intensives.
We believe preparation is an act of respect—for yourself, for your fellow trainees, and for the work we will do together.
The wisdom is already within you.
Sometimes all we need is the space, the practice, and the courage to uncover it.
This Is More Than a Certification
No matter how many trainings you've attended, how long you've practiced, or what style of yoga has resonated with you in the past, we invite you to arrive with a beginner's mind.
This training is not about collecting another credential or earning a certificate to hang on a wall.
While graduates will receive a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher Certification through Yoga Alliance, the true value of this experience cannot be measured by a designation after your name.
The invitation is to move beyond the person you have been and become more deeply rooted in who you already are.
Over the course of this training, you'll be asked to question familiar patterns, challenge inherited beliefs, and listen beneath the noise of everyday life. In the stillness of practice, the rhythm of breath, and the timeless landscape of Zion, there is an opportunity to uncover something that has been waiting patiently within you.
This work is both physical and deeply personal.
As your body grows stronger and more resilient, your awareness begins to sharpen. You cultivate the ability to recognize your own inner wisdom, discover intrinsic desires that may have gone unnoticed, and make decisions from a place of clarity rather than conditioning.
The yogic traditions have endured for thousands of years because they offer more than movement. They offer a way of living.
Our hope is that you leave this training with more than the ability to teach a yoga class.
We hope you leave with a quieter mind, a steadier presence, a body you trust, and a soul more deeply connected to the life you are here to live.
The certificate is simply a reflection of the work.
The real graduation happens within.

We actually recommend trying a lot of studios, and all types of styles so you can get to know what you are drawn towards. Yoga is expansive and grows as we grow, thus what we do in our studio is a mirror of that growth, as a Utah based, desert roots community. We are fortunate to have a pure love of the practice, a rigor to the foundation of the poses, and the most amazing community on the planet.
If our studio calls to you, we would love to have you. We do not work with those unwilling to do and be in the work. What we do is intentional at each step and is based on decades of working with humans in movement and healing, all over the world.
This is not therapy, or online, and we require you to simply show up and be open and ready to do the work. This is a vulnerable work and we believe 100% in what we do, and the way we do it. We are unlike any studio in Southern Utah, and in America.
In Utah we are faced with many cultural norms that humans do not understand in other parts of the world. While each culture has their own challenges, Utahns, and those who live here are an anomaly.
Thus, our trainings meet our community exactly where each student is at. This alone is a massive undertaking. All that is required is for the student to show up, stay open, and do the work.

While body awareness is good to have in a power yoga practice, at ZPY you will notice we adore the journey for each student. No matter where you are at, no matter your age or injury or level; whether new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, we would love to have you sweat and work with us. Our teacher trainings are not meant for only those wanting to be a yoga teacher. What we do in our trainings is priceless and changes the trajectory of our students, and teachers lives.

We highly recommend coming to power yoga 4-5x a week, and inner alchemy YIN 1x a week for at least a month prior, to prepare.
We recommend reading The 4 Agreements, and the Untethered Soul as well.
-
Yes. You are welcome to petition Yoga Alliance for your 200 hour registered yoga teacher (ryt) certificate once you have completed the requirements of ZPY.
ZPY is a certified 200 and 300 hour ryt teacher trainings through Yoga Alliance.
-
Absolutely not. Teaching is actually a moot point in our 200 hour ryt. Some of the best yoga teachers, including myself, never wanted to become a teacher.
And, some of the best yoga teachers were ready to do the 200 ryt after just a few classes, becoming some of the best yoga teachers. Others planned on teaching and discovered after they had no desire to teach power yoga, but gravitated towards YIN or some other big life adventure.
You most likely will be surprised by how you feel once you have completed your 200ryt.
-
You will walk away from ZPY 200 RYT training with:
a new perspective on what is possible for you.
a Grounded understanding of power yoga (based in the Baptiste Yoga Methodology) and Inner Alchemy YIN yoga, and the wisdom that lies within the 8 limbs of yoga, and how to apply them and live them.
access to a powerful sequence in your body, voice, and life.
friends that will understand you and respect you for your authentic self.
you. you will learn about you, and how you operate in life, where you are hung up in life will be clear and at the deepest level you are willing to go, we will together uncover and excavate your hidden pains and trauma to allow for the healing process to begin to take place.
tools. you will walk away with new tools to use in your relationships with others, your self and in life.

Intense. Deep. Intentional. Fun. Empowering.
